We were the only ones there.
It was lovely - songs, signing, yoga, and a plethora of sensory and activity toys. My lovely host bravely did her best despite such a small crowd, and Syd had a really fab time. It will of course be improved by having a larger group, as one of my main reasons for wanting to get out more is so Syd can socialise with people his own size.
It is a brand new group to my town, tho Tots Play itself is an established programme, and the leader runs a successful group in nearby Blandford already.
So if you are in or around Dorchester please join me and Syd on Thursdays at Munchkins Play Cafe. There are two sessions depending on your child's age:- 10am - Social Tots 8months - 2.5yr olds
11am - Discovery Tots - 8weeks - early crawling.
And while I was there I saw that starting next week Sing, Sign and Play is coming to Munchkins on Tuesday mornings. This is a group we used to attend at a local soft play area until it closed down, and its return means we will now have two activities a week. Which is probably enough for me!
Also - while I am bigging up things local to me- Munchkins is worth a visit in itself, as well as now being the venue for activities - they have a lovely play area for little kids- lots of toys and art bits and bobs, as well as a child and purse friendly menu. Smashing new place for families!
