It's pancake week this Tuesday and we will be having traditional English pancakes then, with lemon and sugar, but as a Sunday treat we often have American style ones...
Ingredients:-
- 135g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 130ml milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp melted butterMix the wet ingredients together, then add to the dry. Stir until smooth, then leave to stand for 10 minutesbefore cooking in a hot pan. For added fun you can use metal cookie cutters to cook the pancakes in funshapes, but it is tricky when flipping, so we did a mixture of shapes, and just dollops!!Then the toppings - fruit, cream, syrups, chocolate spread, and marshmallow fluff! We
even added blueberries into some of the batter- delicious! I am a fan of maple syrup myself, but the
kids tried a variety of sickly looking combinations!!A delicious treat for a Sunday morning!Love Miss Cisco XXX
