Christmas Came Early Thanks To Debenhams Secret Santa

I was recently asked if I would like to take part in a Secret Santa organised by Debenhams. The idea was that we would be given a fellow blogger from the group to shop for, and were given £80 each to spend on the gifts and toys department of the Debenhams website. And in return another blogger would be shopping for us! Sounded like fun to me, plus I liked the idea of seeing what someone would choose for me, based just on what they could glean from this old bloggidy.

There is a huge, HUGE range of things to choose from in the Debenhams gift department. It took me hours to choose for my Santee- I really wanted to get something that suited their family, and it seemed from reading her blog that they loved doing stuff together- inside and outside- so I picked a selection of things for them to have fun with, with one special gift for her to keep her warm on their many outdoor jaunts!

Then I waited for mine. I thought I had chosen quite well for my Santee, but now I apologise because my gifts seem SO much more fun and exciting in comparison- I never was a very good shopper- but I hope they enjoy them nonetheless! As for me, I feel utterly spoilt. The first package to arrive contained this fab canvas of a cool guitar dude silhouetted in onstage smoke and lights. It is already up on the wall in our loo, adding a bit of Rock’n’Roll cool to a room that formerly had none!

A couple of hours later I received a huge parcel from Debenhams, and it was rammed with treats:-

Delicious chocolate and hot chocolate which my children have been delightedly diving into…..

An underground map cushion of such awesomeness that the debate over whose it is is still raging between the teenager and I. It is clearly mine. But she keeps stealing it and putting it in her room. Cheeky madam.

Then there were some fabulous coasters with cocktail recipes on each one- a good excuse for some experimental boozing over the festive season me thinks.

And finally, the best biscuit tin that ever was. It is a giant cassette! I love it, and it is full of delicious biscuits too- bonus!!

Note the small hand trying to steal them before I even finish taking the photo….

Thank you so much Secret Santa – these gifts are absolutely spot on, and I am amazed that someone I don’t know that well could choose such appropriate things- when I find out who you are I will be sending my OH your way in future- he could do with your help!! I am also impressed with how far the budget went – a sign of really great value being offered by Debenhams. I am supposed to try and guess who it might be….I really have no idea, but in the spirit of the game I am going to guess Mary from Keynko – because she is a bit bonkers like me so has a good chance of getting inside my strange brain! But I am probably wrong…..own up whoever you are, so I can give you a big thank you snog!!

Love Miss Cisco XXX

Gosh some lovely gifts….and it just shows what you can achieve when you put some thought into it! Having said that, Imid-post, I was imagining how nice it would be to have £80 worth of chocolate, and then I saw the hamper!
