The Gift Wrapping Drinking Game

Posted by on Dec 23, 2013 in Humour | 5 comments

I am dreadful at wrapping gifts. I start with good intentions of making them look pretty, but about one and a half parcels in I am bored of the whole idea and just wish the wrapping fairy would do it for me while I have a snooze in front of a Christmas film. Someone on twitter suggested I get drunk while doing it. Then I thought why not make it a game?! Now I haven’t even done this myself yet….still putting off the inevitable wrapping paper hell. (Yes, I know I only have 40 hours left….). And certainly I take no responsibility for either the state of your gifts or your liver should you choose to give this a go. But anyway, here is what I am thinking, please add your suggestions in the comments…..

The Gift Wrapping Drinking Game

  • A slurp each time you misplace the scissors.
  • A swig every time you lose the end of the Sellotape.
  • A shot of something fortifying when you are faced with wrapping something awkward in shape. A ball for example. Or slippers.
  • And down in one every time you cut the paper too small.
You can judge how well it went by the state of my hangover in the morning….

Haha that’s funny!! I hate wrapping and am completely crap at it. I them shove it all into gift bags.

Dammit !! I’ve done all mine – that’ll teach me for being a goody goody :)

Great idea! I need to send the other half out for some sherry before I get started though.

Brilliant idea! As a teetotaller I would adapt it to involve eating chocolate. As I’m forever misplacing the Sellotape, I’d have to get a couple of bars of Green & Blacks lined up!

What a great idea for a game! I’m in the fortunate position of being terrible at wrapping, so even if I got sloshed playing this my wrapping could only improve lol
