The one where I become a journalist. Ish.

I have some exciting news, well, exciting for me, probably just moderately ‘ooh’ for the rest of you. As of today I am starting a weekly column for the Mirror.co.uk , which I guess means I could possibly write journalist under occupation on my passport. Maybe just in pencil for now. And of course even that would involve me actually having a passport, which I do, but a very out of date one.  Is there even a place to write your occupation or is that an American thing? *digs out old passport to check* GASPS- it isn’t there! It’s a myth! I shall have to write it on myself. *grabs sharpie pen*

Anyway, they have been lovely enough to be all Mark Darcy about it, and like me just as I am, so you will find the same sort of writing over there as you do over here, and I would love your support- so that they don’t realise their error too quickly…..

And don’t worry, or do, depending on your perspective, I will still be here as much as ever…..

This week I am tackling banking, and what I would do if I had a bank, and you can read my article here.

 Hope you like it!

Love Miss Cisco XXX

Excellent article. I used to work for a bank. Are you shocked now? I was in IT. We got good salaries, I think I was slightly beating the national average by the time I left. Much better salaries than branch staff. They however got a better bonus rate, and I think that’s reasonable. I Would cap bonuses inversely against salary comparison to average, if that makes any sense. Probably not.

Makes sense to me, for those in the sector of the banking world where these huge bonuses apply are already on a salary that sounds like a lottery win to me, so surely don’t need massive bonuses too. Whereas I am sure frontline bank staff could use the extra cash far more!

I think it’s totally amazing! I’d like to do a column for our local paper, but you’re writing for national media!
They won’t realise their mistake because they haven’t made one – they’ve made a properly brilliant decision. Your first column was ace and I have no doubt your future ones will be too.
