The lovely Swazi – blogger, DJ and fellow indie
kid matron – has tagged me to answer these questions. And because I think she is awesome and love her blog, Chocolate Is Not The Only Fruit, I am going to honour her request! So here goes:-
Who/What encouraged you to start blogging?
One of my bestest mates and all round good egg, Lynn, had started her blog – A Slice Of Lemon’s Cake – and thought I would like it too. At that point Syd was only seven months old and I was just about to hand in my notice having decided that going back to work was both impractical and unappealing, so it seemed like a good idea to have a hobby that I could do from home while he napped. She was right, I did like it, and I still do.
How did you choose what to blog about?
Oh god – are you supposed to choose something specific? And then stick to it? Oh. I thought you just rambled whatever nonsense was in your brain box, stuck it online and hoped for the best. Right. Better think of a topic then. Um. I will get back to you.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I have been doing this for two years, I am guessing at some point I have probably told this blog mostly everything, like the time we sang backing vocals with a Sex Pistol or that I occasionally suffer from laughter based incontinence. I could tell you my real name, but then I would have to kill you, matter of national security and all that. I could tell you our secret family recipe for flapjacks, except we aren’t the sort of family that has secret family recipes. I could tell you my middle name was Bob, but that would be a lie. That is the downside of blogging, you have already told people everything – when I see my mates they already know all my news and funny stories, because they have read them, right here.
What three words describe your style?
Moderately amusing, sometimes.
What do you love to do when you are not blogging?
Reading – books, other peoples blogs, newspapers, even the back of cereal packets if nothing else is available. Ranting with my other half in front of Question Time. Eating. Watching live music. I really, REALLY want to get back to playing some music myself again. I nearly joined a band again last Summer, but they were just too busy and the logistics didn’t work. I am sure one day the right project will crop up, and on that day I shall drag out the glitter and the ra-ra skirts, even if I am sixty, and get back to making a terrifying racket again.
That is all the questions answered, so now it is my turn to nominate more bloggers to answer the same and the finger of fortune is pointing at :-
A Beautiful Space
The floor is yours ladies, I look forward to reading your posts!
