What a soggy week it has been, school runs have seen me soaked all the way down to my pants, and the general gloom and torrents of water pouring from the sky meant we spent it mostly indoors, unless forced out by necessity.
This morning was dark and grey – but dry, so we took advantage of the opportunity to get out for some fresh air. Seeing as it wasn’t the most inspiring of days, we stayed close to home and took a simple stroll by the river less than 5 minutes from our front door. It was lovely to get out of the house for an hour, and even though the day was dull, it definitely brightened us up to have had some outdoor time.
We wandered past the allotments, which look as if they are mostly being tidied and hibernated for winter. We hunted (unsuccesfully) for mushrooms on the circular nature path. We spotted coloured leaves, berries and sleepy ducks.
Then home, for a lunch of cheese on toast. Yum.
Hope you had a lovely Sunday too,
Love Miss Cisco XXX
