Chesil Beach

While we were at the Tout Quarry Sculpture Park on Tuesday we took in some gorgeous views looking down over Chesil Beach.

The view of Chesil Beach from Tout Quarry Sculpture Park

Having viewed it from the top, it would have been rude not to head down and take a closer look wouldn’t it, so when we had had our fill of the sculpture park we hopped in the car and drove down the hill. (You could walk it, but not with a four-year old with lazy legs in tow!)

It was a beautifully sunny but very windy day. Coats were lofted high to try to fly, stones were thrown and we kept a safe distance from the crashing waves. Cobwebs were definitely blown away, and we may have even gained a little vitamin D on the small portions of our faces visible!

Chesil Beach Winter Afternoon Sun

I do feel lucky to live somewhere with so much natural beauty on the doorstep, and we certainly made the most of the one sunny day so far in the Christmas Holidays (and judging from the forecast, possibly the ONLY sunny day before school starts again next week!).

I love your photos! They are amazing. You are so lucky to live so near such beautiful coastline. Do you find you rarely visit it though as it’s always there? I live right by the beach and I find this.

What beautiful photos, looks absolutely amazing there! We luckily live near the sea too so we try and get down there as much as we can!

Oh my goodness what a beautiful place. We need to get to the beach more next year, especially in wintry weather, I love a dramatic sea. Happy new year.x

Lovely photos! I glimpsed Chesil Beach when I visited my friends in Weymouth and thought it was truly stunning. There’s so much beautiful scenery around your neck of the woods. I totally understand why my friends moved there!

I love a beach walk in the winter, so peaceful and even in the wind I find it sort of therapeutic as it blows away the cobwebs.
What a great picture of him trying to fly with his coat.
Yes we do live in a beautiful part of the world and I like you feel blessed to be surrounded by beach and parks.
