Quaver.

Syd has been poorly. In fact so have me and my man. But Syd has been really rather poorly. Sick, and poo that sloshed and totally lethargic, and on top of that he has a throat infection.

He had breakfast on Friday, and then ate nothing for four and a half days. I had been getting fed up of breast feeding, but seeing as he would eat or drink nothing else the last few days I am grateful that he would still gain some fluid and nutrition via the boob.

Finally gave in and visited the docs today. In a none too surprising turn of events, they have diagnosed it as viral, and as such we can only wait for him to feel better.

It is horrid when they are poorly. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make him feel better.

But this evening there has been a minor breakthrough. Syd has eaten a quaver. Four quavers in fact. Now I know the cheesy maize based snack food is hardly brimming with nutritional benefits, but it is a start, I am just delighted to see this small sign of improvement. We will worry about vegetables in a day or two!

Love Miss slightly less anxious Cisco XXX

My wee man does the same when he is not well…completely refuses to eat. If I am lucky he would have a yoghurt and of course that would just make him sick! We had a week of a viral infection, with one night in hospital while on holiday in Italy and it was horrible and at the end he came out in spots which is supposedly is not unusual! If his throat is soar you could try ice cubes of juice to suck on. My sympathies are with you. Sending you all some virtual hugs! Get well soon x

Thank you, like the ice cube idea- will give it a try if he is still reluctant in the morning. 🙂

Hope you are all feeling much better!
Regarding above idea, I used to pop sticks in yogurt pots and freeze them for sick days. Xx

Yes, on the mend, tho Syd still not right, managed to get some proper food into him yesterday which will help. That’s a good idea for summer as well as sick days- thanks!
